Beaver County- The project consists of the replacement of an existing concrete deck on a two-span prestressed concrete adjacent box beam bridge (201.5’ overall span). The project also includes the necessary analysis and detailing to eliminate the existing deck joint over the pier, producing a continuous superstructure. Minor approach roadway and substructure repair work will also be part of the construction contract.

Retaining Wall Replacement - Fayette County - This project involved the expedited replacement of a failing concrete retaining wall. Three options, including a conventional cast-in-place concrete cantilever wall with a spread footing, a steel pile and precast concrete lagging wall, and a hybrid steel pile and cast-in-place integrated wall, were designed for bidding purposes. The initial contact from the District was April 2, 2015. SPK delivered the final plans, including a construction plan for the roadway reconstruction, a traffic control plan, and the structure plans, on April 23, 2015, 21 days after the initial contact.

Bridge Replacement - Washington County -  This project is a design-build bridge replacement project. The project included the removal of a single span bridge carrying Interstate 70 (I-70) eastbound and westbound over S.R. 2017 (Dunningsville Interchange). SPK prepared the final construction plans, traffic control plans, and structure plans for the contractor. Construction was completed in 2011.
