This project included the phased replacement of a deteriorated single span concrete T-beam bridge over Sandy Run with a single span spread box beam bridge (76.0’ c-c brgs.). The project also included 2,898’ of approach roadway construction.

Project Letting - April 7, 2016
This project is the replacement of a structurally deficient bridge carrying S.R. 0848 over a branch of Butler Creek with a single cell concrete box culvert (15’ normal span). Traffic was detoured during construction. Due to the deterioration of the existing bridge, preliminary and final design activities were advanced to let the project approximately 18 months ahead of schedule. In addition to the bridge replacement, the project also included 450’ of approach roadway construction, minor channel realignment, new guide rail, signing, pavement markings and delineation.
