Bridge Replacement - Crawford County - Spring Township - The project involved the replacement of an existing single span concrete encased steel I-beam bridge carrying T-466 (East Spring Road) over Carr Run with a single span prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge (44-0” span). The bridge foundations consisted of integral-type abutments supported by steel piles driven to refusal. The project also included 272’ of approach roadway work.

Bridge Replacement - Snyder County - Spring Township - The project involved the replacement of an existing single span steel I-beam bridge carrying T-469 (Sawmill Road) over Swift Run with a 22’-0” x 8’-0” precast reinforced concrete box culvert and precast reinforced concrete end sections. The project also included 525’ of approach roadway work.

This project consisted of replacing two structures; the first a box culvert (14’ span) over an Un-named Tributary to Back Creek and the second, a bridge (45.5’ span) over Back Creek. The project included a combined 700’ of approach roadway reconstruction. SPK developed the conceptual plans and specifications for a Department Design-Build project. SPK also provided design review and construction consultation on the project.
