Colin Hayes 2025 Internship Testimony

First up for our 2025 Internship Testimony is Colin Hayes:
When I first arrived at SPK earlier this summer, I had no idea what to expect. What I got, however, was an incredible experience that I will remember for many years. I was quite nervous on my first day, but that anxiety was quickly calmed by an extremely friendly and welcoming environment. Over the course of this summer, I talked to almost everyone in the office, and I’m glad to say that every single interaction was positive. It never felt like I was “just an intern”. Not only was I treated like a colleague, but I was given the opportunity to work on real infrastructure projects. For that reason, I’d like to thank Perry, Dave, Pat, my mentor Jessi, and the entire team at SPK for giving me an amazing experience this summer. Although I still have much to learn, the knowledge I have gained throughout these 11 short weeks will stick with me for many years to come.
