What app on your phone do you use the most (besides email and messaging)?

Definitely Instagram. I’ve spent an embarrassingly long amount of time watching reels over the years.

If you had a time machine, would you go to the past or the future?

Going to either is probably ill-advised from a “potentially negatively changing the course of history” standpoint. With that said, I’d probably go to the past – there are more than a few people that I wish I could talk with longer and hug one more time before they were gone.

What’s your guilty pleasure TV show or movie? 

TV Show: Picture it, Sicily….The Golden Girls will always be one of my go to TV shows. I used to watch it everyday with my great Aunt growing up. And I still find it funny no matter how many times I’ve seen the same episodes. As I’ve gotten older I’ve developed a new respect for how ahead of its time the show was for the 1980s.  Movie: I could watch Dirty Dancing everyday. At this point I could probably recite the entire movie and perform every dance scene from memory.

BIO

Ally is a Uniontown, PA native and Penn State Alumna – where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering. Ally started with SPK as an intern 9 years ago and is now the Water Resources Department Lead.

Her current role includes permitting, agency coordination, hydrology and hydraulic analysis, erosion and sediment pollution control plan development, post construction stormwater management design, and highway drainage design.

Ally is a member of WTS Pittsburgh, ACEC/PA, and ASHE SW Penn. She is currently serving as the 2025-2026 President of ASHE SW Penn. She also chairs the membership committee – with the goal of increasing young membership within the section by hosting social events such as axe throwing and bowling.

She and her Husband, JT, are currently in the process of planning/building their forever home near family, and are expecting their first child in September! She loves being “Auntie Ally” to her nieces and nephew, and spends many of her weekends with them. Ally loves a good DIY home project (the local Sherwin Williams store knows her by name). When she isn’t repainting a room or strolling the aisles of Target, Ally enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with her family.
