Cost: $26.3 million Client: PennDOT Engineering District 1-0 Contact: Rod Fasenmyer - 814-678-7369 Meadville Interchange Reconstruction Project - Originally a teaming effort with the District 1-0 Design Unit performing the roadway design with the SPK team performing all the structure design activities, evolved into a roadway design-build contract that was prepared by SPK. The design-build package included the final design plans for the mainline bridges [two (2) - 223’ single-span steel plate girder bridges], extension and/or repair of three (3) concrete box culverts, eight (8) overhead sign structures, and the approved Design Field View plans for the mainline and ramp reconstruction. The project also included water quality features in the in-fields that were coordinated and designed by the Center for Economic and Environmental Development (CEED) in cooperation with Allegheny College. The project was closely coordinated with the District who performed the Line & Grade Studies and was delivered in less than twelve (12) months. BACK
